Google Editions almost here

For the end of this year, google is ready to launch the google Editions for the US. Probably it will be on the other countries including the ones from the EU in the beginning of the 2011.

It will be a complete competition for places like Amazon who in the other hand only let you use their stuff with the Amazon’s kindle, or also willi be competition to Apple with the iPad. Google instead have been making arrangements with publisher and digitalizing book, to finaly let other webs associated with them sell their books.

So now we will have a very big publisher we didn’t used to have and that will be available for any platform. I wonder if this is going to bring some legal problems with the copyright management entities we already have or with the actual publishers

So we will have to wait to see what happens but it all seems to be we will have a new giant publisher for the new year called google editions.
